When you become pregnant, your lifestyle instantly shifts in a way that many people around you just can’t understand. And that’s ok. But with that shift comes questions, overwhelm, and a great desire for support.
Hiring a doula to advocate, support, and guide you through your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience can make all the difference.
A doula provides in person care, and alters their support tactics based on how you desire to feel during your entire pregnancy and postpartum experience. During your free consult you will:

- Learn more about the doula process and how they can support you through this season
- Ask any and all of your questions. We LOVE questions, so make sure you write them down before the consult!
Birth Doula Support
This package includes:
- 2 prenatal visits
- During these visits you will learn the multiple ways a doula can support you through your experience, discuss your desires and questions, and leave with a list of topics to think about and/or discuss with your partner.
- On call support during the two weeks surrounding your due date
- Your doula will not make any additional travel plans during this two week period and is guaranteed to be on call 24 hours a day.
- Unlimited support during your labor and delivery
- During your prenatal visits, we will form a plan that best suits your needs and desires for when you will activate us for in person support during labor and delivery. This may look different for everyone and will be a customized plan.
- 2 postpartum visits
- Your first visit will take place 36-48 hours postpartum and usually lasts around an hour. Second visit 3-6 days postpartum and usually lasts around an hour.
- During the first visit we will check in, make sure feeding is going well, parent(s) feel comfortable and supported, have time to talk about how things went, answer any questions you may have, and of course help where needed.
- 3-6 days postpartum is when there is a big shift in hormones. During this second visit we want to check in to see if you’re feeling that shift physically and emotionally and make sure you’re feeling supported through it. This visit involves support, answering questions, listening, holding space, and providing resources where needed.
- If travel (beyond 1 hour drive time one way) is necessary for doula support: Client will cover the cost of travel, transportation, and lodging upon booking. Prenatal and postpartum visits may be held virtually if travel further than 30 miles from Coulee Health or the doula’s home is necessary.
