Dry Needling involves the insertion of needles into muscles to cause an inflammatory response that promotes healing. Usually there is an increase in soreness in the area needled, but this subsides after 24-48 hours. Soreness = Healing
Benefits:
- Pain relief
- Improving range of motion
- Increasing blood flow
- Decreased muscle tension
- Promoting a healing response in soft tissues
Dry needling sessions are best paired with exercise after to help facilitate the changes that were made. We also like to pair chiropractic manipulation with dry needling to help facilitate these changes even more. This is why dry needling sessions are 30 minutes in length. Typically less than 4 dry needling sessions are needed to see results.
Dry Needling Session: $50-$100
NOTE: Must be an established chiropractic patient to book a dry needling session. Insurance does not cover dry needling.
